This is the best way to make a woman orgasm… and it may surprise you

Research was conducted by experts from the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University’s School of Health.

Anal sex topped the list of sexual acts that created orgasm

Analysing the sexual behaviour of 5,865 people aged between 14-94 years old, the study found that anal sex was the best method to achieve orgasm.

Staggeringly, of the 31 per cent of women that admitted to having anal sex, 94 per cent revealed that they had climaxed this way.

The second most popular route to orgasm was vaginal intercourse, followed by oral sex.

Experts also revealed that when it came to The Big O, variety is key.

The study said: “Women are more likely to orgasm when they engage in a variety of sex acts and when oral sex or vaginal intercourse is included.”

Did the findings surprise you? When it comes to sex, it turns out that we don’t know as much as we think we do.

Even though 85 per cent of men surveyed believed their partner had orgasmed during their most recent sexual encounter, only 64 per cent of women agreed that this was the case.

Experts clarify that this “difference that is too large to be accounted for by some of the men having had male partners at their most recent event”.

Anyone wanting to put the anal sex theory to the test must do so with caution.

Last month, a surprising medical revelation revealed that it was possible for women to become pregnant through anal sex.

Dr Brian Steixner, a urologist at the Jersey Urology Group in Atlantic City, debunked the myth that you can’t get pregnant through anal sex after dealing with such a pregnancy himself.

Speaking to Men’s Health, Dr Steixner revealed that he had treated a woman with a rare condition called ‘cloacal malformation’ when he was a medical student.

It is possible to get pregnant from anal sex if you have this condition

The disorder causes urine and faeces to drain into a common channel which opens in the perineum – where the anus is normally located – according to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

As both openings are channelled into the same area, it’s possible to get pregnant through anal sex.

Thankfully, the condition which makes such a pregnancy possible is very rare – only in one in 50,000 people have a chance of it happening to them.
